I use a tilt-bed trailer ( 16' with a 2' dovetail and hydraulic lift )because the M is a narrow front tractor and a trailer with ramps would'nt work. I raise the bed until the back of the trailer is touching the ground. This way the trailer won't lift the back of the truck and there are no ramps to break, lose or slip off of. Good of you to share your mistake so we can learn from it, humble pie is not a tasty dish.
