Allis Chalmers D-14

Hi!
I just purchased a AC D-14 and don't know what the horsepower rating is. The man I bought it from said it was a 3 bottom tractor, and he thought it was 27 horsepower. I don't think 27 horsepower would be a 3 bottom tractor. I'm guessing around 38 horsepower. He also said it was a 1956 model, according to some sights on the internet they didn't make that model until 1957.
I would be very thankfull for any help.
