It will handle a light mounted cutter. A well built Medium duty 5' cutter can make the frontend a little light. I have a Medium duty 6' Woods that weighs in near 1000 pounds and extends 7' past the liftarms not counting the tail wheel. The 841 has the pto horsepower to operate a medium duty 6'cutter in normal cutting, but it may not be be enough tractor to safely work on slopes or banks. I used mine with a 1050 JD with a frontend loader as a counter weight until I could replace my 5' cutter. As long as you stick with one of the lighter cutters such as a Howse or Agri-72 it should do well. I spent many hours on a 1964 4000 with heavyduty 5' cutter when you are 15 you think it is exciting when the front wheels come up. The cutter had a very strong and rigid hitch and was capable of keeping the tractor from layin back on top of it. Most of todays cutter have some travel in the hitch and I would hate to rely on them to prevent the tractor from flipping rearward.
