I had a heck of a time getting my steering wheel
off a couple of months ago. I did what Brian
suggested and it did eventually come apart. I
managed to break some of the plastic around the
hub but was able to repair with epoxy. I read a
post where it was suggested to use a split-collar.
I'm pretty sure this would have spared the hub
and probably speeded up the job, too.
