Seems after the fact that praise comes to the different shade colors. Bad management and poor marketing coupled with stubborn buyers, bring the unique models back as impressive, restored stock, antique pulling tractors. That six speed tranny was ahead of it's time;the live PTO was also one of the first. The Super 88D was a strong tractor offering in 1955, it should have sold ten times as well. Apparently, lost in the shuffle of 'Big Red's' exploding diesels. R.I.P. Oliver Corp.

Farming Never Left My Blood - by Stan Gordon. I was born in 1947 youngest of ten of a working farm. Our farm was located in Saskatchewan near Saskatoon. We had a mixed farm consisting of grain and dairy all done with old machinery and by hand. My dad had a tractor, a Farmall A which was used mostly to run the thrashing machine, a seed drill and for plowing.
