Steve that is the rotor timing that has to be done on the gears that you mentioned, there should be some timing marks that go together ,clean the gears real good and look for some kind of marks, I don't know about the A.C.'s but the H Farmall had a small dot on one gear and an "R" on the other that you matched up. usually on parts like this all of the companies had a somewhat similar procedure. good luck
