Not to be a party pooper, but there are two sides to this coin. A few years back, I was driving an 18 wheeler down a two lane state road in Il.(55 mph) I was about a quarter mile from an intersection with a county road. I could see a tractor and a gravity wagon coming up to the stop sign from my right. The old fart did not even slow down, just came right on out and made a right turn in front of me. This was not only a saftey thing but also a courtesy thing. There was nobody behind for as far as my mirrors would reach. He could have waited and only lost about 10 seconds. I had to follow him for about 15 min. I wonder if some of the old timers have been out there so long that they think they own the road. I was also driving with my lights on.
