I'm not the expert, but I don't have to be to give an opinion do I? These are great little tractors. If I'm not mistaken the Farmall is a row crop/high clearance tractor whereas the IH 340 is a smaller utility tractor. My dad has had a 240 for many years (it doesn't have the 'live' pto like the 340) never really had any problems with it. He has even pulled a swather and baler with it. Not bad for a 32 horse tractor!
