The first tractor I ever rode on was an Allis-Chalmers Model E that my Dad ran for a neighboring farmer, then brought it home to plow on our home place and that's when I got my first ride. This was 1939, I was 5. Later that same year I got to ride on my uncle's new Avery Ro-trak--down the road doing 15-16 mph, Man, I was impressed! Guess that got me into the oldest habit I've ever had-riding tractors-usually in the seat, but any tractor, anytime.
