If the little Massey will do the job for you I suggest the following:

a) Pay a reputable mechanic to rebuild the entire rig - should be less than 12K.
b) If rig will not do the job, find some older iron that will and have it rebuilt.

This gives you the option to retain your old iron and add new life to it without the aggravation of down time. I plan to rebuild mine in the distant future as a father/son project. When they are old enough I will then pass one on to each son.
