it's like JD70Jim there said TSC and other farm and homes have a slip clucth that will slide on bush hog end of the pto shaft and the shaft connects to that. I have a bush hog brand 7 foot cutter with no clutch or pin , it has the same spline as the tractor has,probably should get a slip clutch but has worked for lots of years and cut 3 inch pine trees with it behind a 560d farmall blowin smoke
