Look for a shifter knob like they used to use for PTO's in old trucks-you know, the kind w/giant economy sized choke wire attached to it. All the M&W's that I've seen in our part of the country used one of these that went into the transmission to make the range change. Out was high-in was direct, ifna I remember right. The one that the neighbor had on his M locked the trans out of 5th when it was in high range, so you had 9 speeds total. (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)
