It's expensive but if You get it cut out correctly it'll be the last one You ever need to make. Get a sheet of VITON gasket material. 1/8 inch thick should do it. BUNA-N or Nitrile is much cheaper and also withstands gasoline. RTV creates a gelatine like deposit when exposed to gasoline. Don't ask Me how I know!
