We have Standardbred racehorses (Trotters and pacers) and I raise most of the hay we feed. Our hay field consists of Alfalfa, Orchard Grass, and Timothy. When we have to buy hay at the track, we pay anywhere from $3.00 to $4.50 a bale. It needs to be cured properly with no musty smell whatsoever. Quality hay will sell anywhere as long as it is just that...Quality hay! If you live close to an area where racehorses are trained, and you can produce quality hay, you can sell all you can raise for a good price.
