When the mag.impulse coupling is working during
starting & stoping, the spark is retarded to T.D.C. This is the clicking noise you should be
hearing. About 300 RPM centrifugal force pulls
in the trip pawls and you are in full advance.
There is no in between. This is called lag
angle. F.M. impulse are marked as to degrees
Yours may be about 25 or 30 degrees.
If the engine bogs with out missing a carb.
tune up may help. However dont over look the spark
plugs on these engines that idle a lot.
