IHC MD vs OLIVER 88D

Having decided I would prefer a DIESEL tractor to another gasser, between these two, which is a better choice for a "using" tractor which will also be restored/refurbished? I am usually a DEERE man, but the only diesel JD from the vintage I'm asking about is an "R" and I don't want one of those. Are there other choices worth looking at? (1952 vintage?)
