Sounds small to me- allow room for tools- welders, table/radial saw, drill press, lathe, compressor. (Do not use PVC for air line! Manufacturers specifically recommend against it). Consider floor heat- materials going under or into concrete add only about $1 per square foot to the cost (2" insulation, cattle panels, piping). Only chance to do it is before concrete goes down. My farm shop is 48' square, 14' sidewalls, some heated, some cold area. Hundreds of feet of storage shelves with catwalk at headhigh level for easy access to upper shelves. Heated toolroom (18x24) has floor to ceiling shelving on two walls, open area big enough for only one tractor. Structure built in '82, but still finishing it- currently lining/insulating another 24x24 area for heat.
