It would be a shame not to restore it. Someone told me that in New York State there is grant money available for restoring old barns. I sold a place a few years ago that had a "Hop Barn" on it. The lady who bought the place has a guy repairing the stone foundation, replacing any rotten sills and jacking every thing back "square". I know it's costing her some money, but probably not near as much as building a new building half the size. She's a "city slicker" who only comes up here in the "country" when she can get away from work, but I am glad she is keeping the place up.
