Amen! You have hit the nail on the head. I know that I have a tendency to try to get by too cheap. In the past I have often passed by something nice, because something else was available that was "cheaper". Only it didn't turn out to be cheaper in the end. I was not satisfied with the job it would do and I ended buying the nicer one anyway. I sold the "cheap" item at a loss just to get rid of it. If you are going to buy something that you will get plenty of use out of or intend to keep for many years, then spend a little more and get something decent.
