Back in the 50's mu father-in-law had a pull behind brush hog that he had mounted a two cylinder Wisconsin engine on with a 6 to 1 gear box. Normal PTO = 540 RPM / Engine Max. 3600 with 6 to 1 reduction = 600 RPM so I guess he didn't run the engine at full throtle. Pulled it behind pickup, jeep, tractor, or what ever was handy. It did a good job as long as they worked at the resort. Stayed with the resort when he left. I can't remember if it was 4' or 5' or ? It might be a easier possibility than a hydraulic pump.
