I suspect some people are not aware of the old "chain for a top link" trick with tractors only having the two lower three point hitch arms. It's your choice for an over running clutch or not. More than one person has drove into a ditch etc after clutching but was pushed in with pto inertia. As long as you are quick hitting the brakes evenly, Ron did raise a valid point to consider.
