Been working fine on my JD750 for more than 10 years now. Of course, it's a light hoe, only 6' max depth. I wouldn't want to try to do the work of a Case Construction King with it, but for little jobs, it's slicker than a smelt.

They come with a frame that "locks" the three point into position so the rockshaft hydraulics aren't supporting anything.
