Did you get a bumper pull? That's what I use, and have been real happy with it. I don't use a sway bar or weight distribution bars when I haul my 48 JDA to the pulls, I've only needed this set-up when I haul the travel trailer (30Ft). I do use grade 70 chain and hooks as there have been alot of trucks big and small, getting checked around here lately. (Pa) I use 3/8" ratchet binders and always lock the tractor brakes and put it in gear as a safeguard. I hope you have brakes on both axles, as some states only require one. I pull with a 3/4 ton silverado. I use a drawtite activator 2 for my brake controller. I don't like the inertia controllers. How much are you pulling and with what kind of truck. The biggest thing I can remember when I started towing at age 17 was not to get in a hurry, I still see much older people than me who want to race to a pull or show. Go at a resonable pace and enjoy. I almost like towing my stuff as much as running it. You'll do fine. Ask around your club and see what other guys are using too. I learned alot just from being nosey and looking at what others are running. Goodluck.
