My expierence is, all brands of compacts are pretty much in the same boat. I would NOT rate a jd any better or worse than a Kubota. I think you have to match the tractor to the job, each have some good features. Some think Compact JD's are better because they think they are made in the U.S.A., but actually they are nothing more than imported tractors with some final assemble in Georgia.
Some people buy a compact and brag how they have abused it, and it's holding up. My expierence has been different, and others here that i know that have bought them, agree with me.
I stand by my previous statement, use a compact tractor for continued rough service, and you WILL be working "on" it!!
