As far as I know all 3 point hitches are hydraulic. There are 3 different tyes of PTOs that I know of, 1000 rpm used in newer and mostly very expensive tractors and 545 rpm which is what you will probably be working with. Most new tractors have both of these speeds on the PTO. The 545 rpm PTO comes in 2 sizes, my Ferguson had the older style and I needed an adaptor to use my brush hog. It kept breaking adaptors so I had it replaced with the newer style PTO when it was in the shop.
