I have several brands of older tractors that I have converted to ISO couplers. Most companies sell conversion kits to convert their old coupler body to the ISO tip. It is a fairly easy and low cost conversion that ends the nightmare of dealing with a half dozen different tip styles. I don't know how they settled on the little Pioneer coupler for the ISO standard, but my theory is they had retrofitting older tractors in mind and decided its easier/possible to adapt a smaller tip to a coupler that originally had a large one,as most of the others are larger. The ISO tip seems to work well even on high flow systems.
