I was quoted $1 per mile. I think it was round trip. I hauled mine about 90 miles and after I figured my cost (I could only get 11 bales on my trailer) I couldn't haul them for that. Most of the people who sell small bales sell them in the field, that way they don't have to fool with them. A guy from Torrington comes up here with a semi load and parks in the parking lot thinking he could sell them by the bale. Don't work out. Somebody always buys the whole truck load. That's why I'm in the market for a hay field.
