Hello Forum, I have a '47 8N. I removed a Hupp overdrive that wasn't working properly. Then I put in a full drive line from a 9N. Now the throwout bearing will not move toward the clutch far enough to disengage the clutch. I have the recommended 3/4inch top endplay in the pedal. The throwout bearing moves 5/8 inch toward the clutch when the pedal is depressed. I'm wondering if I have to use a different shaft, that is, is the 9N shaft is different from the 8N shaft. ?? Anyone know? Claude Mills 1183 E Henri De Tonti Springdale, Arkansas 479-361-2858
