Today I relocated ground from battery, used a jumper wire to get 12 volt to coil. When I jumped the hot lead on junction block to starter wire on junction block, the engine started before I knew what hit me. The hot wire to the junction block has always come up from the pos. battery connection to the solenoid, at least I think it has. I thought the way I jumpered the second try was exactly the way the starter switch works. Going to try a new switch tomorrow. Thanks for all the ideas, maybe it was the ground. Oh I used the 4 wire harness from trailer wiring to run from switch to junction block, that should have been heavy enough. I think the force was just not with me that day
