Updating a JD B possible?

The earlier tractors had little if to nothing to offer in the "draw" department. This I have learned (remember, I am as inexperienced as they get). However they offer the most unique character. While I plan to "work" my tractor, I see no reason why I can't have a working piece with "looks" too. Here's my question. Since the earlier mod's. offer dangerous starting systems and no draw options, and since I have heard that there are people out there making starting system modifications and 3pt. hitch conversions, is it reasonable to assume that a 1937 JD "B" fly wheel start with no 3pt. hitch or hydrolics can be economically updated to be more functional? I must say though that the thought of updating one of those beauties sorta makes me sick. Furthermore, after modifications, could it be converted back to it's original condition?
