On my 18/36 Hart Parr's the exhaust runs from the rear out the front under the radiator and with a muffler no less, barley hear the exhaust when its running. For wheat fields they could add a elbow and a short pipe, but with 10' of pipe and a muffler don't think there was any sparks left by then. Had a 28 D spit out a gob of sparks one day that stuck in the wheat heads and about another 200 feet we had the Gleaner on fire. Bob's 2 cents
