You don't say how much you want to spend. Like somebody else said, an Allis Wd-45 or D-17 would also do. Some of the D-17's had factory 3 point hitches and they all have live PTO. Deere supposedly has launched into a parts program for other colors of paint, so something that wasn't money-green to begin with still might be supported by the local churches. Diesels are cheaper to run if they're in good shape. They tend to be harder to start in the winter, and the fuel injection system will make a carburetor on a gas engine look free if it ever needs working on. I've always thought that a gas engine makes more sense for a part-timer.
