Another tip- after you get the tank cleaned out and are ready to reinstall the sediment bulb housing, find a short piece of 5/16 outside diameter copper tubing, and insert it into the inlet hole of the sediment bulb housing (or whatever size tubing fits). Cut it so about 1 inch protrudes up into the gas tank. Then, as you run the tractor and more of the inevitable rust scaling occurs, the rust will settle around the base of the tube, but you'll still be sucking gas (so to speak) from 1 inch above. Presto- no rust clogging up the intake! I must credit Phil Heisey, major domo of the Cockshutt Club, for this tip.
