I would not have thought Mike meant to offend that whole race of people. However if some respondents are not old enough to remember Pearl Harbor or were not involved I suppose there is a different outlook. Those folks do not all feel WARM AND FUZZY toward Americans Or YANKS. After all they are our negative trading partner. They sell to us but have made it nearly impossible for us to sell to them.I am a farmer, while in Singapore about five years ago,I recall seeing photos in the newspaper of japanese marching with posters held high worded "STOP AMERICAN RICE".Our farmers recieve eleven cents a pound for their rice. japanese raised rice was $5.00 per pound then.I am proud to be called a YANK and do not feel all COLD AND PRICKLY if anyone chooses to refer to that nickname.Even if we are a whole race of people. I am not seeking to correct anyone just looking at it from an different point of view.I am not a member of the Feel Good Generation so cannot understand all the HULLABELLEW of so many folks being offended. Thanks for the opportunity to ask others to think about it. OL CHIEF
