Mr. T, Look at the housing for the glass bowl. It usually has a shut off made into it. Looks like a small tee handle, clockwise(in) is off. The fuel may have evaporated or maybe a leak, only you can tell when you start working on it. Take a flashlight or trouble light to look into the tank. If it looks clean or just has some white powder, it just needs to be cleaned with kerosene and mopped out. If you see much rust in the tank, it needs to be removed to avoid further problems. I use a shop towel (cloth) screwed onto a wooden dowel to mop the bottom. I also remove the sediment bowl AND housing to flush the tank and then reseal the housing where it enters the tank. Also, look for a plug in the bottom of your carb. and remove to drain any old gas or small particles in the bowl. Any more questions or problems, just ask. Jim T
