the reason the manifold frosts is the same reason that refrigeration works. on the massy you will note that the runer from the carb to the intake ports gets biger as it goes up like a funnel as the air fuel mixture passes through the small area next to the carb it is at a high volicity to help draw the fuel through the jet and mix it with the air. as it goes into the larger section it expands . expansion of the gas mixture causes evaperation thus cooling of the manifold. this is normal. if the ignition is working properly i would pull the carb apart to ck. for corosion we have had this proublem about once a year on our WD. Gas just ain't what it used to be and are you using lead aditive
