i went out and looked at my 706. if he has factory lights and wiring harness, his are "externally grounded", to a bolt directly above the lightbulbs on the back of the headlight mounting plate (part of the fender). the fender ground is accomplished by the attachment of the fenders to the axle housing with large u-bolts.
