There are posts here about tractors with tens of thousands of hours on them - and stll running strong. I've also bought older tractors with almost no hours on them which had expensive problems because the tractor wasn't used/maintained properly. The hour meter is notoriously easy to manipulate -especially if you're buying at auction! Look for excessive wear in the steering, the three-point arms, and the wear on the pedals can be all-telling. Common sense is your best weapon. Good luck!
