I think your ideas are great, but i have some doubt you will get the cooperation and work from the teenagers you would like. I think the key word you used was "troubled". You and i may have grown up in the 50"s when cotton chopping and picking was "educational". But it may not be so today with the background of those you will be careing for. With that said i suggest crops, etc that are less labor intensive. Good luck.
