Just an idea. I think it was because when the B was first made, the farms were small and it was just the right size for lots of farmers. I grew up on a 41 B and we used it to mow, cultivate, pick corn and combine among other things.

Memories of an IH Super A When I was ? up to 10, I worked on my Papaw's farm in Greeneville, TN every summer. As I grew older (7), it was the thrill of my day to ride or drive on the tractor.
