I read an article yesterday (20 Feb 02) in the Washington Post writen by William Safire regarding the government's surveillance of ordinary citizens. They have spent, in our name, $20 billion in 2001, and intend to spend an additional $19 billion this year to watch American citizens in the Washington DC area, this in an effort to protect them (the politicans) from us (the ordinary citizen), I find this action reprehensible. The way Congress hoofed it out of town when threatened with anthrax showed their true colors, any thoughts on this latest cowardly action by our elected representives? Mike
