not sure what type hangers & track you have, but if it's the one it sounds like (National or Lawrence Bros), the bolt stem hangs straight down from the truck (roller ass'y). if this is the case, do this: remove the cap from the end of the track (this keeps the birds out and acts as a stop for the truck ass'y). next, slide the door so that the bolt hole is approx 6" past the end of the track (this will probably require some help). next, slide the truck ass'y out of the track. next, put the stem bolt down through the top door member where it was. then put the nut on, lift the door back up and slide the truck back into the track (watch the fingers here), put the endcap back on, and adjust the door for level. you may have a door stop at the bottom, attached to the building instead of an endcap on the track. if so, remove this before sliding the door past the track. the roller/truck assembly is normally installed when the door is being built, usually on the building, piece by piece, starting at the top. hope this helps.
