Your scanner probably has a "save as" dialog box. Likely in that box you will have a drop down menu that allows you to select the format for the scanned image. It should be in the same place as the one where you select a name for the scanned image. Simply pick the jpeg or jpg format...it should be available on all modern scanners since jpeg and gif are the two main image formats on the web.
