ALSO REMEMBER ALL OF THE OLD TRACTORS 1974 AND OLDER WERE DESIGNED FOR LEADED GASOLINE. NOW IT IS ALL UNLEADED. THE LOCAL ENGINE REBUILD SHOP DOES A LOT OF HARDENED VALVE SEATS ON AUTOMOTIVE HEADS. I WOULD SUGGEST IF YOU EVER TEAR DOWN YOUR MOTOR HAVE THE HEAD FIXED FOR UNLEADED GAS. OF COURSE I HAVE A 1969 FORD 4000 GAS AND ITS BEEN RUNNING ON UNLEADED SINCE ABOUT 1988 WHEN THEY PHASED OUT LEADED GAS IN MY AREA. THEY MAKE A LEAD SUB. YOU CAN GET AT ADVANCE AND AUTOZONE I USE IT IN MY 4000
