Back in the 40s and 50s I believe the fuel was only rated at 70 octane or so. Regular unleaded fuel now has a minimum rating of 87 octane. I have run that in my F12, F14, Super MTA, etc. pulling hard loads with no problems. No need for premium unless you have stepped head high altitude pistons and are going for max power. Steven
