okay, fellas, I can understand a little about double clutching when shifting up, but what about down shifting? I drove a 1942 Studebaker 2.5 ton truck that had to be double-clutched. Shifting up, you double-clutched at idle. Shifting down you had to really rev the enging with the truck in neutral or it wouldn't shift. How does it work on a tractor? I've shifted from 3 to 4 on a JD MT, but that's basically without clutching and shifting up. I know there'll be times I wanna shift down.
