Mark, BJ is correct. The #1 goes to ign post on switch that is off when the switch is off. #2 goes to the bat. post on the back of the alternator. The bat. on alternator goes to the amp gauge and should be a heavy 10 gauge wire. The bat. on the ign switch goes to the amp gauge. The amp gauge wire that goes to the battery terminal on the starter, should be the only wire on that side of the amp gauge. That way the amp gauge can read the flow of amps in or out of the battery. I would also feed the light switch off of the amp gauge and not run direct to the battery. Duey
