Wouldn't it be more like a 560 engine in an 806 rear end? The 706 predates the 656 by two years. I have always heard that the 706 and 806 were pretty good tractors, even if a little crude. (One hears about shifter updates and other "improvements") They are supposed to have good engines. I've never owned one, but the 706 would be the first IH I'd look at if I just HAD to have a red tractor!
