Number one and two terminals are correct but put the battery term. on alt. to one side of amp. guage and on the other terminal on guage run wire to large lug on starter where battery terminal connects then run a short jump wire from the hot battery lug on back of amp. guage to supply power for ign. switch if guage operates backwards just reverse the wires on back of the guage
