ask 10 scientists if they know which way electrons travel in a wire you will get 5 answers each way. IF your regulator is rubber mounted, thats a sure sign. conventional theory has electrons flowing to the pos from the neg terminal. except for the fact that most of them are 6 volts, the orientation of the battery is the only difference. engineers could have easily made a regulator that would work uninsulated, and some were. the direction of the angle of the brushes to the armature windings determines the direction of the DC motor, not the current flow. however i am quite sure negative ground generators are wound differently, and only produce marginal current if used with negative ground. everyone wants a better mousetrap, and that wasnt one.
